CLASS DESCRIPTIONS
All classes are beginner-friendly! Please join in the fun!
SCULPT AND TONE
ABC’s –A 30 minute class that is going to focus on your abdominals, back and core.
Upper Cut– A 30 minute class that is going to focus on sculpting and toning your upper body.
On the Ball– A 30 minute class that will utilize different types of fitness balls to tone your entire body.
Below the Belt- A 30 minute class that is going to focus on sculpting and toning your lower body.
Sit & Fit- A low impact class that most of the exercises are performed from a chair. The AM class will incorporate stretching, strengthening, cardio and yoga movements while the PM class will incorporate stretching, strengthening, and yoga movements.
Sculpt– This class will improve muscular strength and endurance throughout the body with the use of a variety of resistance training methods, including weight training.
CARDIO CLASSES
Adult Dance– This class combines a variety of dances for a fun filled cardio workout.
Boot Camp- This aerobics class will be a combination of calisthenics, cardio and body weight sculpting classes. This class is for all levels, but be ready for a tough workout! Morning classes are held in the gymnasium or outside. Evening classes are held in the gymnasium, group fitness room or outside.
Cardio Mix– This cardio class will use a variety of class types including floor aerobics, step aerobics and circuit classes (alternating cardio movements with strengthening) to improve cardio respiratory fitness as well as muscular strength and endurance. This class will shape and strengthen the heart and muscles.
Christian Cardio– This 30 minute cardio workout combines a variety of aerobics moves with great uplifting Christian music and a devotion and prayer.
Boxer Blast– This cardio class will not only improve cardio respiratory fitness, it will also improve muscular strength, endurance, balance and hand eye coordination. Great workout for your entire body!
Low Impact Dance Party– This cardio class will provide cardio respiratory training without impact. Fun, challenging cardio that is easy on the joints.
Lunch Crunch- A 30 minute class for those of you who need a quick workout during lunch- class will be instructors choice of either yoga, cycle or aerobics.
Step Up- A high intensity, low impact cardio class involving stepping onto a platform while performing upper body movements. This is a intermediate to upper level class with more complicated choreography. All levels are welcomed.
Walk on the Y Side– This 30 minute class involves a simple walking workout. Enjoy a variety of walking movements in a group setting!
MIND AND BODY CLASSES
Yoga Express– This 30 minute yoga class is designed for those who want the mind/body benefits of yoga in a shorter period of time.
Yoga Lite- A mind and body class that helps you work on flexibility, strengthening and relaxation. Friday’s class offers an extended relaxation time for those who wish to stay a bit longer.
YogaFyt- Take your Yoga workout to the next level with a challenging class that will work your strength and flexibility. Class is open to all levels with many options with the poses offered by the instructor. Class will end with a relaxation portion.
Yogalates- A mind and body class that will combine the principles of Pilates and yoga to work on strengthening muscles, flexibility and relaxation.
Pilates– 45 Minute Class. A mind and body class that works through a series of movements that focuses on your body’s powerhouse or core muscles of the back and abs.
CYCLING
Rise & Spin– 45 Minute Class. A class for those of you that like to get your workout taken care of early in the morning. Rise and spin with our spin instructors. Spin is an aerobic class conducted on specifically designed studio bikes with an instructor to motivate you.
Full Spin Ahead- A fun and exciting spin class that is open to all levels.
Training Wheels- A 30 minute class geared to beginner spinners or those of you looking for a lighter workout. An instructor will show you how to properly fit your bike before class begins.
FOR THE KIDS
Twinkle Toes- A 30 minute class that is geared toward introducing your young child to fitness. A fitness instructor will lead your child through different games and activities. Parents are welcome to participate or check your child into nursery to be picked up for class. Class is for ages 3-5.
Kid Fyt– A fun-filled 30 minute class in the gymnasium designed to get your school-aged child active on school holidays. Check your child into nursery to be picked up for class.
